In this chapter of the guide, we list all the races available in Baldurs Gate 3 and try to answer the question of which race is the best.
Each race available in Baldurs Gate 3 differs from one another in appearance, and also has certain features, such as bonuses to individual traits, passive skills, actions, and certain proficiencies. With such a wide variety, players can even better match the characters to their own style of play.
List of races available in Baldurs Gate 3
The best race
Baldurs Gate 3 does not have the best race in the game, but some of them may perform better for a particular style of play or will be better suited to a chosen class of characters. For example, Elves will do well in the role of Rangers and Rogues, while Dwarves will do best in the role of the Fighter. If you are more interested in playing a specific role in Baldurs Gate 3 than in the bonuses provided by individual races, you can of course freely mix the races and classes.
Sub-races - do they occur?
Some races available in Baldurs Gate 3 are divided into specific sub-races, which differ in terms of historical background, appearance, as well as traits, and additional features. What race and/or sub-race you choose for your character can affect his or her relationship with other characters you encounter during your playthrough.
