As in many role-playing games, dialogues play a very important role in Baldur's Gate 3. A well-conducted conversation can, for example, allow you to avoid a fight. Read this page to learn about the conversation system.
You can talk to independent characters and to yourself. The main character doesn't have a voice, so you will have to read the available dialog options yourself.
A properly conducted conversation can affect the course of the game. You can use it to recruit new members to your party. You can also avoid fights during quests. If you can convince your interlocutors that you are right, they will give in. However, you need to use special options to achieve this. The name of a related statistic can appear next to a dialog option. In addition, you can also see an additional comment (e.g. persuasions). When you decide to follow the specified path, a dice will appear. To achieve success, you must get a value greater than specified.
