The following guide page for Astro's Playroom describes the walkthrough of CPU Plaza. You will get acquainted with the controls of the character and learn how to collect all 4 pieces of the puzzle.
The game will start after a short presentation of the new controller. Swipe your finger over the touchpad to make Astro jump out of it.
Use the cross button to jump to the next level, collecting coins along the way. Holding the cross, Astro will fire lasers from his legs. Thanks to this, he will be able to soar into the air and perform a long jump.
Go to the top and use lasers in your legs to break the glass over the 2 buttons. Then jump on them to activate them.
A square is a simple attack. Hit the window a few times until it shatters. Approach the protruding cables and holding the square, back off, using the left analog. When the cables are severed, Astro will land on the CPU square.
The CPU Plaza is the focal point of Astro's playroom. There you will find access to all locations in the game:
- Memory Meadow
- SSD Speedway
- Cooling Springs
- GPU Jungle
Each of these locations has 4 levels. In each of these levels, you can collect 4 puzzle pieces and 2 artifacts. The last level of a location contains an additional artifact to be acquired.
You can start your adventure from any location, but we've based this guide on the chronology of the PlayStation console releases.
In addition to the main locations on the CPU Plaza, you can also find the entrance to the online races and the PlayStation laboratory, where all collected collectibles will be stored.
Before you go to explore the available areas, carefully search the CPU Plaza. On the right, between the trees, you will find cables sticking out of the blue grass. Pull them and throw the object at 3 coin containers.
On the opposite side, you will also find several containers suspended from the trees.
1st puzzle piece
Find a way down to the lower level of the plaza.
On a small platform, there are 3 sets of cables. Pull on them all to get some coins and 1 piece of the puzzle.
2nd puzzle piece
Go back to the upper level of the square. Near the entrance to Cooling Springs, there is a gray platform. Go in there and pull the wires in the wall.
Jump on the gray structure and head up the next blocks.
Pull the next set of cables to reveal the grey blocks leading up. On the left, you will notice the 2nd puzzle piece.
To jump to the left, enter the balance beam and tilt it in the right direction. Don't worry, Astro won't fall off even if he tilts to the very end.
Run and jump onto the trampoline and take the puzzle piece. Go back to the balance beam, tilt it the other way, and continue up the next blocks.
Pull the other wires to reveal the next set of blocks. Climb them until you reach the yellow trampoline, which will shoot you in the direction of a long gray block. Pull the wires and slide the cable across the wall.
3rd puzzle piece
Pull the cables out of the wall to expose more blocks. Jump on them to the top, and then jump on the sliding block, which will lead you to the 3rd element of the puzzle. Go back to the right and pull the cables.
Jump on the sliding blocks and jump on the button to reveal the yellow trampoline.
4th puzzle piece
Yellow trampolines will take you to the highest point of the structure. Go to the end and pick up the 4 pieces of the puzzle.
