Assassin's Creed Origins' new game + allows you to return to Egypt after finishing the main thread. But what exactly can you do in NG+, apart, of course, from fighting on higher difficulty?
How to Start New Game+ in Assassin's Creed Origins?
In order to be able to start a New Game + in AC Origins, you will have to complete the game's main thread at least once. There's no way around this condition.
What do you transfer into New Game+ in Assassin's Creed Origins?
First of all, starting a New Game + in AC Origins allows you to keep your entire equipment from the end game: weapons, bows, armors, gold, mounts (obtained and purchased), as well as unlocked skills, skillpoints, Bayek's experience level, and even consumables and resources. The crafting level of items such as arrows or quivers. In other words: New Game + saves the entire progress of your end game character.
Don't worry if you have finished your first playthrough with average weapons - the enemies in New Game + will drop much better loot!
What isn't Saved in Assassin's Creed Origins' New Game+?
Firstly, you will have to unlock or find all the elements that were directly involved in the main plot. This includes the Hidden Blade, which you have to obtain again in New Game+, however, after you do unlock it, the level of your Hidden Blade will also be transferred from the previous playthrough. The other things are of course the map - fog of war returns to Egypt, so you'll have to discover everything again.
Here's an important thing: New Game + uses the old save, but mind you: it's highly advisable to save the NG+ on another save, in order not to loose the progress if something goes south.
Reward for Finishing New Game+ in Assassin's Creed Origins
We know that Ubisoft has promised a reward for finishing New Game + in Assassin's Creed Origins, but no one knows what's it going to be. Is it a new trophy? Armors, weapons, unique mount, or something totally different? Once we learn something, we'll make sure to inform you.
When is New Game+ added to the game?
The New Game+ patch will be released in February - everything seems to indicate the nearest future. On February 20th, the game should receive the Discovery Tour mode - it's possible that the New Game + mode will be introduced in the same patch.
