Getting bounties in The Ascent is an extra way to make money. You will probably obtain a bounty at the beginning of the game. However, these items can only be sold to a special merchant. This guide page tells you where to sell bounties and how to earn them.
How to get a bounty?
Bounties are dropped by enemies with names. They are also marked on the minimap with a large red dot. These enemies are simply stronger versions of standard opponents. After defeating them, you will get the mentioned bounty, as well as other items like components for improving weapons. Opponents with names are scattered randomly throughout the game world. The best way to find them is to explore each location thoroughly.
Where to sell bounties?
Once you get a bounty, go to any friendly location. Find the blue bag icon on the map - that's where you'll find the person who buys bounties.
In the bounties window, you can choose which one you want to sell - each bounty is worth 1,000 credits. You don't need bounties to complete any activities, so feel free to sell them all.
