Upgrading weapons in The Ascent is crucial. Next to the development of character skills, this is the most important way to increase your combat prowess. Without upgrading your weapons, you'll have more and more difficulty defeating your opponents. On this page of the guide, you will learn how crafting works, how to improve weapons and what it requires.
Weapon upgrade components
In the game, there are three levels of components to improve weapons - from level one to three. You can check the components you currently own in the main form window (they're also visible when upgrading weapons). You will get the components only by exploring the world - they fall out of boxes, strong opponents, or lie directly on the ground.
You can find the first level in the initial locations, but the best components are located in the further, more dangerous parts of the map. In The Ascent, there's no possibility of disassembly of weapons into parts - you need to explore the world carefully.
Upgrade weapons to the next level
The process of upgrading weapons is very simple. Just go to any city and find a character marked with the blue hammer icon. In a new window, you will see all your weapons, and when you click on the selected one, you will find out how many components (and what level) you will need to improve it. In turn, the table on the right side of the screen will show you what weapon parameters will be improved.
