Crafting the Dawn Shield is one of the main storyline missions in Anthem, in which the title shield of the Dawn has to be crafted. This requires a completion of several main quests of the game. More information can be found in the following description we have provided for you.
You start your mission by meeting Haluk in Fort Tarsis. He will get you the information required to craft the Dawn Shield. This mission has an unusual structure, because it involves playing other main quests:
- The absolute minimum to obtain the blueprint needed to create the Dawn Shield is to complete the Dax quest line (tasks Mysterious Beginnings, Dear Diary, Vanishing Act) or Matthias quest line (tasks Triple Threat, Inverse Functions, Convergence).
- The recommended action is to complete all available Dax and Matthias quests. Don't stop at just one of the two available story lines. Walkthrough for all the above mentioned quests are on separate pages of our game guide.
Once you have met the minimum requirements, you can meet with Faye and craft the Dawn Shield at the Forge. Reach the Forge in Fort Tarsis and after the main window loads, select the new Dawn Shield tab (it is available regardless of the currently selected javelin class).
Creating the Dawn Shield requires the sacrifice of crafting materials. You can preview the list after opening the crafting window. The list of resources varies depending on the number of other missions that you have already completed. Try to count all the other available main missions in advance, so that the requirements to produce the Dawn Shield will be very low (example in the picture).
Crafting the Dawn Shield and setting it in the active javelin slot will activate a new video after leaving the Forge window. You can start the next big quest related to the main story - Freelancer Down.
