How to collect Ember in Anthem? Anthem Guide and Walkthrough

Ember is one of the crafting materials in Anthem. You need it to craft every item excluding common tier. Depending on the rarity of the item you want to craft (uncommon, rare, epic, masterwork), you will need Embers with the right color. Usually, you will need only a few units of it (around 5) - you can't craft items from those tiers without using Embers.

The type of Ember used in crafting depends on the rarity of the item you want to make.

Embers are usually found in the Freeplay mode. Open treasure chests scattered around the map, collect crafting materials (plants and ores) and sometimes you will get a few Embers. Another way is to dismantle unwanted items - every time you do that, you get a chance to get 1 Ember of the same color as the dismantled item.

Embers can cost a lot - look for other ways of getting them.

Embers can be purchased at any shop with either coins or shards. Low tier Embers are cheap, but a Masterwork Ember will cost you 5,000 coins per unit.

Ways of obtaining Masterwork Embers

Masterwork Ember can be purchased at a shop but it will cost you a lot. However, you can get it rather easy by completing Timed trials - the monthly ones. The second method is a bit more complicated and you have to focus it as soon as you start playing the game:

• Select your favorite firearm,
• Get enough kills with it to unlock all Challenges (Journal->Challenges->Weapons) for this particular weapon.
• After completing all challenges (including the third level), you will increase your chance of getting masterwork versions of this weapon drastically.
• Start attacking Strongholds - the ratio of getting masterwork weapons is the biggest here. Thanks to this method, you will get a lot of weapons you can dismantle to get Masterwork Embers.
