How to complete the Trial of Cariff in Anthem? Anthem Guide and Walkthrough

The Trial of Cariff is one of the four trials you have to complete in the Tombs of the Legionnaires, one of the locations in Anthem. Read this page to learn how to complete the Trial of Cariff.

How does the Trial of Cariff work?

1. Keep doing main missions until you start Tombs of the Legionnaires. Meet with Faye - she will explain to you how to access the four tombs.
2. Complete Trial of Cariff to get access to The Tomb of Cariff. The tombs can be explored in any order.
3. A new type of trials was added to your journal. Go to Expeditions and Freeplay tabs. Choose Trial of Cariff (see the picture above).
4. Challenges can be completed in any order - you can, e.g. go to Freeplay mode, start an Agent Mission or visit a Stronghold. You can play alone or with other players.
5. Once all challenges are complete, to the Tomb of Cariff and explore it. This place is marked on your map. The walkthrough for this tomb is on one of the pages in this guide.
6. Complete all challenges to receive 2,000 gold.

2) Complete 3 missions. World Events don't count. You need to complete missions available in the expedition window (see the picture above). You can complete Agent Missions, contracts or mission taking place in a Stronghold. Alternatively, use the Quickplay mode to replay a story mission.

2) Defeat 30 enemies using Javelin's equipment (abilities). A very simple challenge. Keep using offensive abilities. Don't use firearms - kills done with them won't count here.

3) Perform 15 combos. The topic of combos is discussed broadly on How to perform a combo? page. Combos are performed by chaining to abilities - one that weakens an enemy or inflicts a status (e.g. burning or freezing) and the other that will lead to a combo. The COMBO! text informs you that the two abilities used by you were chained correctly (see the picture above).

4) Perform 3 multi-kills. Multi-kills are attacks that killed a few enemies at the same time. The best way to complete this challenge is to use Ultimate skills. When the Ultimate bar is fully charged (the long bar in the bottom right corner of the screen), wait until you are near a group of enemies. Next, activate the ability and use it to damage as many enemies as possible.
