While playing Anthem it is definitely always worth it to keep an eye on the engine heat indicators of your suit. On this page of the game guide, you will find out how to check the temperature levels of the Javelin's engines and how to avoid overheating them.

How to check the engine heat levels?

The engine heat indicator always appears at the bottom of the screen - it has been marked on the picture above. The white bar will gradually fill up as you continue to use your boosters.

It is worth mentioning here, that the engines will heat up not only while flying but also while sprinting or hovering in the air.

Overheating the engines will result in the need to wait for an extended period of time before they become operational again.

How to behave when the engines are close to overheating?

  1. End your flight as soon as possible. As long as your engines do not properly overheat, you will be able to continue your flight after waiting a few seconds for the engines to cool off.
  2. Dive into the water or fly through a waterfall. Each of these actions will cause your engines to instantly cool off to the lowest possible level.
  3. Start a low-altitude flight over water. You will not be forced to stop and the engines will gradually cool off.
