The Lesser Earls, King Edward - Anglo-Saxons Walkthrough Ancestors Legacy Guide and Walkthrough

This chapter contains walkthrough for Edward the Confessor's second campaign mission in Ancestors Legacy called "The Lesser Earls".

Difficulty level of this mission: 6/10

Select your troops and move forward. Defeat enemies and capture the settlement. Send workers out and go to Siward. He informs you that he can join the king but only if he deals with the local bandits.

Equip a few of your units with armor (they are on the carts in the town). Then, go to the settlement B (on the south). Capture it and let your warriors rest. After that you have to attack the hostile settlement from the east - set the cart with hay on fire, the one that is near the watchtower, to destroy it.

Use more powerful archers with an increased range to attack from a distance. You absolutely have to remember to retreat wounded units - you don't have a lot of resources which means that you must take care of your squads.

Regenerate your strength and head to another village (C) located on the north. Again, use ranged attacks. Let the enemies come to you.

Head to another hostile camp. Then, you must capture the small village (D). Go back to Siward. You learn that another Earl, Leofric, is nearby. Go to him.

Watch out - on your way you will come across a few enemy units and traps. Switch to defensive formation once you reach the bridge and move towards the settlement that belongs to your allies.

You receive another mission - defend a caravan. You will have to participate in a few fights in the woods - if you want to, you can capture the nearby settlements (although this isn't necessary). After reaching the town with the caravan you will receive another objective - survive the attack.

The best way to do that is to retreat to the watchtowers and switch to defensive formation. Enemies will come in a few, weaker, waves. Defend yourself successfully to complete the mission.
