Holmgard, Rurik - Viking Walkthrough Ancestors Legacy Guide and Walkthrough

This chapter contains walkthrough for Rurik's third campaign mission in Ancestors Legacy called "Holmgard".

Difficulty level of this mission: 6/10

This is a very long mission - the first thing you have to do is to go with your ally and burn the nearest settlement. Truvor moves forward but you shouldn't do that. Replenish your units and focus on defending this area - place watchtowers because this settlement will be constantly attacked throughout the entire mission.

Focus on economy and try to upgrade your watchtowers (it is also possible that your ally will capture and develop one of the settlements - if that happens then you should focus on defending it).

Complete your army and then conquer more villages with your ally. In the meantime, you should recruit a few squads (2-3) and place them west from the village F (check the picture above). This squad's role is to attack those enemies who try to sneak into your base. These squads + watchtowers will give you a free hand in conquering more settlements.

Develop your economy, upgrade units to the maximum level and capture more villages. Your new objective is to destroy Holmgard's supplies. However, they are guarded by powerful units. Also, there are a few traps placed in front of them so be careful.

Your attack can be divided into a few stages - defeat a few units and then retreat to a safe area. Remember to retreat wounded squads - you will participate in more fights.

You finally break through defense and burn enemy supplies. A caravan with food appears in the south - capture it. The caravan moves towards the squad that defends the village F - thanks to that you will be able to destroy it pretty fast.

Your actions lure Vasily and his starving forces out from the fort. Defeat them on the bridge - their defeat marks the end of the mission.
