Go to the right and open the door with grate. Climb down the narrow stairs. You will receive a journal update (The Heart of the Machine).
Keep going down. Eventually, you will reach a lift.
Take a ride down, go right, open the door and move on. You will reach a room with a panel of switches. Some of the indicator lights are on, and some are not. Move the switches next to the lights that are off. All will respond, apart from the one numbered 3. This needs fixing.
Go left and climb down the ladder. Follow the corridor and climb down the ladder. You will reach a room with pipes and ingredient X. Lift the latch on the pipe to the left and return to the panel of indicator lights. Number 3 should now be working. After you have switched all to the left, the device will start.
return to the big machine. You will receive journal update (Ignition Control). Climb up and move both of the levers ([1] and [2]). After you have done that, the lights will go on. You have to wait for a moment, until the light by the right lever goes green. Then, you will be able to switch the other lever.
