Searching for Salim in caves
Soon after the chapter starts, you will have to crouch and start squeezing through the narrow caves. Light the way with a match and travel along the left rocks - you will come across the matchbook shown in the picture.
You will reach a location with a portal (rift) and a brazier. Before using the amulet, check the basket on the right. Take off its cover to find a matchbook.
Go through the portal and follow the left walls again . You will reach the box shown in the picture - opening it will reveal a matchbook.
When going through the caves, stop at the place where you can light 2 torches. After using the match on the torches, examine the hole in the right wall marked in the picture to find more matches.
Keep going. You will reach another 2 torches. After lighting them, do not use the narrow passage above the chasm right away. Examine the container on the right first. There are more matches in it.
Walk carefully over the precipice and keep going. When you reach the first ladder, do not use it right away. Check the area to the left of the ladder to find the chest with the secret shown in the picture - Hank's Notes: Salim Hannachi.
Now you can go down the first ladder. Follow the main path until you reach the second ladder- remember to check the area first. You will find the chest shown in the picture above - it contains matches.
Use the second ladder. In the new part of the caves, collect the monkey you will find on the way. Squeeze between the rocks and watch the cut-scene. On the corpse, you will find:
- A lantern - It will be permanently added to your inventory.
- The Deeper Caves: Salim's Final Note - The collectible was covered by the lamp.
Escaping from the caves
You now have to escape from the collapsing cave. While completing it, you should have the lantern equipped to illuminate the escape route - you can press the lantern button or manually select it from your inventory. Keep sprinting - don't stop.
The heroine will fall into complete darkness. You can use a match, but don't worry that you can't see the way out. A new light source will appear soon and it will help you to get to the surface.
