This page of the guide to Age of Empires 4 provides a walkthrough of The Battle of Kulikovo mission in The Rise of Moscow campaign. By using our tips you should be able to defeat all enemy troops.
Map
On this map, we have marked all the most important locations encountered during The Battle of Kulikovo mission.
- (1) Blacksmith;
- (2) Gold chests.
Walkthrough
Once the mission begins select your leader and head to the marked points on the map to recruit new units. Cross the bridge and turn left once you reach a fork in the road. You'll find a small squad of spearmen and a Blacksmith. There are also several gold chests in the area, letting you buy upgrades for your army.
Afterwards head south with your army to meet your ally's troops.
After delivering the orders divide your army into three squads and position them at the three designated spots by the river.
Now you must repel ten waves of enemy soldiers. Try to protect the religious units as they can heal your troops after they successfully repel a wave.
After defeating three waves the reinforcements will come. Set up at the designated spot and prepare for more battles.
After repelling the next enemy wave you'll receive a notification and a cavalry unit forming. If you need support during the attack, click the icon in the upper-right corner to call for reinforcements.
Later on the enemy waves will contain siege machines. Destroy the machines first as they can utterly decimate your army.
The 7th wave consists of a large cavalry squad and several catapults. Call for help from your own cavalry and defeat all enemies.
Head to the designated spot on the map and heal your units with your leader or the newly arrived Monks.
When the next wave of enemies appears send some units to destroy the machines.
The final wave consists of a powerful cavalry and infantry squad. This time their machines are upgraded as well. Target the machines first, then eliminate all remaining enemies.
