Horror scenes - is the game scary?
In Plague Tale: Requiem, you will not find scenes typical of horror genre, i.e. designed to scare the player. The sudden appearance of rats can be a surprise - this happens many times throughout the game. In some cases, the only solution is to run away, and this can cause some stress, because failure is punished by watching Amicia's or other characters' violent death.
Inappropriate content - is it in the game?
Plague Tale: Requiem is a game definitely for the adults. It raises many serious topics and selected scenes may be traumatic for some players. We are referring, among other things, to the scenes in which:
- you find corpses devoured by rats or dumped in landfills;
- you find tortured or imprisoned civilians;
- locations that can cause disgust, such as large rats nests of rats;
- physical and psychological violence toward Amicia, Hugo and other main characters;
- brutal death scenes of important characters.
You will not find sex scenes, innuendos or other types of such content in the game.
