Divide and Conquer - side quest | Stone Sea Tyranny Guide

This chapter contains a full gameplay description of the location Stone Down Gorge(M33) and Graystone Valley that are connected with the quest In Chains. Here you will find a walkthrough, as advantageous as possible, for this side quest.

Begin the quest
This quest will appear in your journal only after you've talked with one of the Beasts, Rift-Dig in Stone Down Gorge. Rift-Dig claims that The Disfavored are attacking the villagers of Graystone Valley. Your task is to go there and see whether he's saying the truth or not.
Track the impostors
After arriving at the location, you'll immediately encounter two Disfavored soldiers deprived of their uniforms. One of them will be dead, but the other will inform you that he was attacked by the Scarlet Chorus. He was injured and when he fainted the Chorus stole his uniform so they can rob caravans dressed up as the Disfavored.
He asks you for help - your task is to travel north where the tracks of Scarlet Chorus lead.
Eliminate the Scarlet Chorus
When you cross the bridge you'll overhear a conversation between a few Disfavored complaining about the weight and clunkiness of their equipment. When you approach them one of the members of the Scarlet Chorus will approach you, which will trigger a dialog.
During the conversation you can explicitly side with The Disfavored, which will anger impostors and the fight will break out. The enemies are slightly more resilient than the regular Chorus soldiers, probably because of The Disfavored armours. Additionally, from south-west another squad of Chorus soldiers will arrive.
You can of course accept the bribe and end this quest in the Chorus' favour, but if you haven't acquired many Wrath points with The Disfavored, you can accept the bribe (1000 rings) and then kill the Chorus soldiers.
Finishing the quest
After defeating the Chorus' soldiers return to The Disfavored soldier whom you met when you entered the location. Inform him that his friends were avenged. After that he'll leave the location. Before you move on you should check the chests nearby. The quest will be completed and removed from your journal.
