Make your way to the area where you take over the drone | Mission 2 - Insurgent Stronghold Splinter Cell: Blacklist Guide

The mission in Iraq has a very uncharacteristic beginning, because you will take control over Briggs for several moments, and your mission is to clear the way of all hostile rebels. Do not worry about the fact that you need to kill the enemies, because these casualties aren't connected to Sam's progressions. Start eliminating the enemies with killing the soldier patrolling at the back, and then take out the two patrolling the cliff to the right. Watch out in the spot shown in the above screenshot. Since you can't raise the alarm (this would mean failing the mission) you need to wait for the enemies to stop watching over each other and, only then, start using the sniper rifle.

Another crucial point has been shown in the screenshot and it concerns the fighters at the very front. Start by eliminating, in the right moment, the terrorist that is standing away from the rest and, only then, eliminate the remaining two.

The ledge

Right after you cut back to Fisher, go towards the village by following the quite linear path along the river. On your way, listen to the conversation concerning the use of the Trirotor Drone for reconnaissance. After you reach the buildings, go towards the stairs to the left. Do not turn left and go ahead instead, and take the stairs there. Approach the vertical wall and grab onto the ledge above.

The window of the hut to the left

Shimmy to the right and pull up to make it to the balcony of one of the huts located closest to the river. Then, turn right again and turn to the left after you reach the rocks, and make it over the small wall. You should get to a small square behind the huts. Go ahead and turn left. Jump towards the opened window of the leftmost hut.

Walk over to the exit from the hut, to the right, and stop at the low wall shown in the above screenshot. Wait for the rebels on your right to scatter and move away from here. Only then, start acting and climb the stairs to the right, which will take you to the nearby hill. Go along the stairs, open the metal gate and you will get within the drone's reach after several moments. You will be able to take control of the machine.
