Find Kobin | Mission 1 - Safehouse Splinter Cell: Blacklist Guide

Kobin is being watched by four soldiers and you, unfortunately, need to do away with them. I recommend that you learn the tips contained below, thanks to which you will be able to do it without killing the enemy. Start by interacting with the light switch and approach the room with the hostage. Stand in the spot shown in the screenshot.

Attack on the guard that appeared at the exit from the room with the hostage

Press the decoy button/key. Wait for the first one of the guards to appear at the door and press the melee attack button/key to grab him and constrict him. After you succeed, pick up the corpse and carry it over to the neighboring corridor. Deal with the next guard in a similar way.

Anticipating of the remaining enemies

There are two guards only left. Unfortunately, after you attempt to distract the enemy once again, they will be alarmed and will make it to the exit straight away, which will make diversion, similar to the one described above, impossible. Fortunately, Fisher isn't defenseless in situations like that. After you draw the guards' attention, you can retreat, and wait behind one of farthest off, corners of the facility in hope that the guards will be reaching you one by one.

Stunning the enemies with a stun gun

The safer way to eliminate the guards is to use the stun gun, against at least one of them. You can also try smoke grenades here but, in this case, you will have to perform melee attacks.

The hostage

Irrespective of how you got rid of the enemies, approach the hostage to free him. Unfortunately, you will learn that the hostage isn't Kobin. Listen to the conversations with your allies and wait for the main character to reach the rooftop.

Additional tips for the Panther/Attack playing style: do not throw any explosives into the room where the hostage is, or this will lead to his death. It is good to consider using the tear gas grenades which will make the enemies an easy target to get.
