Scene 1 – Drop Off
Scene walkthrough:
Just as before, you’ll start this mission on board of an allied helicopter. Thankfully, you won’t have to worry about being spotted by anyone. The helicopter will reach its destination without any problems. Use the rope to reach the roof of a small building. There are some equipment crates nearby, so you won’t have to change weapons while still in the air.
Proceed towards the ladder and use it to get inside the store. You should hear some noises. It appears a van has stopped outside the store and the terrorists have arrived in the area. You will be allowed to take them out by acting silently. This isn’t required, however it’ll make your life easier. Attach a silencer to your rifle and kill your first opponent (screen). He should be standing next to the van and he’ll be looking the other way, so eliminating him should be very simple.
The second opponent is patrolling the area to your left. Don’t worry if you have to brake the glass, because it shouldn’t attract any attention. Make sure he dies by a shot to his head. Go to the left and kill a third opponent. He will be standing behind the white van (screen). The fourth terrorist can also be found to your left. He is guarding the main gate to the refinery.
There’s only more opponent for you to kill. I’m sure you haven’t seen him before, so you will have to be cateful. You won’t have to use the silencer anymore. Leave the store by jumping through one of the windows. The terrorist will be hiding to your right (screen). Prevent him from fighting back. Once he’s gone, start moving towards the refinery.
Approach the flames and choose a sniper rifle from your inventory. You will have an opportunity to take out about 6-10 terrorist from here. Start off by neutralizing one of the heavy machine gun posts. The gunner is standing in front of you (screen). Once he’s gone, start firing at other terrorists. They’ll be running your way, but getting rid of them should be quite easy. You will have to neutralize at least two targets.
Use the zoom feature once again and scout some of the upper balconies. You should find a single terrorist. Obviously you will have to kill him. Get closer to a burning truck and move to your left. You should be able to kill a few addtiional enemy units from here (screen). Use your tactical map, so you’ll know where to look for the terrorists.
Once you’ve secured the area, start moving towards the neutralized heavy machine gun post. Go to your right and head towards the back of the cistern truck. If you’re lucky, you should be able to surprise one of the terrorists from here (screen). You won’t have to act silently, but attacking the terrorist by a surprise is always a good thing.
