Scene 1 – Rooftops
Scene walkthrough:
You start this mission on board of an allied helicopter (screen). As you’ve probably noticed, you are given a chance to choose an equipment for your main character. You can do this by pressing the R key, but you won’t have to perform this activity right away, because you’ll be given plenty of time later on. Enjoy the views instead. :-)
You should be able to reach your destination in order one minute. As instructed, you will have to press the SPACE key which will allow the main character to use the rope. Once you’re on the roof, wait for your colleagues to join you. I would also recommend choosing a weapon with a good scope from the inventory (I assume you have one of those).
Start off by moving forward. You should be able to reach two ladders very soon. It doesn’t really matter which ladder you’ll decide to choose. Either way, you’ll end up exploring a higher section of the roof. Head on to your left. There’s only one passageway here.
You will have to get to the opposite end of the metal platform. Once this is done, leave your teammates behind. Approach the new area slowly and take cover behind the left wall. You should notice a single guard who’s patrolling the area around the corner (screen). Aiming for his head is a good idea, especially if you have a sniper rifle at your disposal. Once he’s gone, rejoin with the rest of your squad.
Now you will have to proceed towards the body of a killed opponent. You should be able to find an entrance which is located to your right. Head on forward. Just as before, I’d strongly recommend leaving the rest of the team behind, but only for a short period of time. Two enemy soldiers are standing just around the corner. Try taking cover behind the left wall and eliminate them from here (screen). You could also try approaching the windows, however it’s not necessary. Either way, you should be able to handle them on your own, as long as you manage to perform a surprise attack.
Make sure that the soldiers have been killed. Order your men to follow you and proceed towards a new corridor. After that, you will have to turn left. Keep on going straight. Once you’ve reached a new area, it would be a good idea to take a closer look at the tactical map. Order your men to stack up next to the first door. You, on the other hand, should proceed to a nearby exit (3 on the map).
