This chapter focuses on an optional area in The Witness - the Fort surroundings. Check Puzzle solutions to get solutions for the puzzles found in this area. On this page, you will find information about the locations of various elements, and descriptions about the mechanics used in the puzzles.

This is an optional location. For completing puzzles here, you will be rewarded with a film access code. After you leave the fort, follow the path. Ignore the door on the left, you will be back here, in a moment.

Ahead, there are two sets of panels - one in front of the door on the left and the other in the building on the right.

First, take interest in the nine panels on the left that introduce to you a new type of puzzle. Each panel has been divided into white and black fields. Your goal is to guide the line between in such a way, so as to separate white and black fields. Fields of the same color do not need to be grouped together. The point is that they are not grouped with fields of different color. Colorless fields can be included in any group.

After you have solved all of the puzzles, walk into the nearby building. There, you find five panels. Here, you are to connect the starting and the finishing points in the way that the line connects all the dots along the way.

After you solve both sets of puzzles, return to the door that you have ignored earlier. Guide the line in the way that separates white fields from black fields and connects all of the dark dots together. Note that there are several starting and finishing points here.

Inside, you find a box. Open it with the switch next to it. Inside, there is a film access code. Take it down because you will need it.
