Chapter 4 | Walkthrough The Turing Test Guide

Chapter Four has a greater variety of puzzles. Just like the previous chapters, it consists of ten sectors (D31 through D40), one storyline room at the end of the chapter - The Brig and a secret room where you obtain the fourth optional achievement.

Sector D31

After you enter the room, you will notice two containers with beams. Put one of them under the electric bridge and the other one in the way shown in the screenshot above. Approach the magnet and pull the container up.

Drop the container and plug it in a such way that it would open the bridge. Walk over to the control panel and move the magnet to the position in which the container, located under the bridge, blocks the pulsating energy beam. Walk over to the next sector.

Sector D32

Here, you will have to do some manipulating with the platforms. Here, you can find two types of beams: violet and green. The way in which the violet one functions is similar to that of the green one but its impulse is shorter. Position the beams in the following order: violet, green, violet, green. Then, climb onto the platforms and jump up.

In the next room the pattern is similar. However, you can find an additional blue beam and a container with energy beam. First, take three beams into your EMT: blue, violet and green. Then, pick up the container with energy beam. Go to the last container near the last platform. Face the direction from which you came from and arrange the containers in the following way:

  1. Container near the last platform - EMPTY
  2. Container near the third platform - Container with energy beam
  3. Container near the second platform - green beam
  4. Container near the first platform - violet beam

Climb on the lower platform and raise it by using the energy beam that is still in your EMT. Jump up a level and take it again. As soon as you climb onto the last platform, use the beam in the last container again (you left this one empty), which raises the platform. The last thing that you must do here is to take the beam and open the door.

Sector D33

Use one of the two containers on the ground to open the door. Take the other one with you to the next room and throw it under the pulsating beam. Stand in its way. Take the energy beam in front of you and return to the door that you have opened earlier. Replace the container with energy beam with the one you have just took. The last thing that you must do is to place one of the containers on top of another to block the pulsating energy beam and open the door.

Sector D34

Use the control panel to position the magnet with container just like in the screenshot above. Make it over to the other side and take the blue beam from the magnet. When you are behind the newly-opened door, you must put away the blue beam and replace it with the green one. Place the green beam in the magnet and go right to the elevators. Climb up to go to the next sector.

Sector D35

Collect the container with beam from the ground and climb down. Here you find a magnet, an empty container and a pressure plate. First, place the container with the beam into the empty slot and stand under the magnet. This opens a door behind which you notice a blue beam and a green one. What you have to do is remove the container with the beam, place it on the platform and place the blue beam where it used to be and place the green beam into the magnet.

In front of the bridge, take the green beam from the magnet and cross the bridge. There, move the blue beam from downstairs to the exit, and send the green one there. Now, you only have to walk into the next sector.

Sector D36

Arrange the beams in the following way (from top to bottom): green, violet and blue. Stand very close to the door and take the green beam when the cable is out. After you get to the other side, use the green beam twice.

Sector D37

Move the bridge to the other side. Cross it and collect the container with beam from the other side of the room.

Take the container back to the first room and place it on the bridge - Chapter 4 | Walkthrough - Walkthrough - The Turing Test Game Guide

Take the container back to the first room and place it on the bridge. Then, cross the bridge again to reach the second room and jump down on the red platform. This opens the door to the next sector.

Sector D38

Open the door using the container next to you - Chapter 4 | Walkthrough - Walkthrough - The Turing Test Game Guide

Open the door using the container next to you. Move the bridge to the very end and cross it. There, you can find another container with beam which you have to leave by the triple blockade. Return to the bridge control panel and position the bridge in the way shown in the screenshot. Take the energy beam that deactivates the bridge and replace it with the container next to the door. Put the container with the beam behind the door and carry over the energy beam into the container that activates the bridge.

Walk on the bridge and jump to the closed door. As soon as you have both of the containers with beams behind the closed door, take the moving beam and open the triple blockade.

Sector D39

Jump over to the central energy platform and take the beam across the window from the device with the moving platform - Chapter 4 | Walkthrough - Walkthrough - The Turing Test Game Guide

Jump over to the central energy platform and take the beam across the window from the device with the moving platform. As a result, the platform goes down. Then, take another energy beam to move the platform to the other side. As soon as the platform moves, you only have to move it back up. Jump over to the platform and use the energy beam to move the platform into its initial position. Now, go through the door to enter the last sector in this chapter.

Sector D40

For now, you should ignore both containers with energy beams. Go towards the stairs and, when you climb to the top, take the energy beam. This closes the column.

Return to the containers and move them around, just like in the screenshot - Chapter 4 | Walkthrough - Walkthrough - The Turing Test Game Guide

Return to the containers and move them around, just like in the screenshot. Approach the control panel behind the window and make the right side of the column face right (when you are looking from the control panel). Use the energy beam to activate it. After that, the container drops onto the red platform and opens the passage.

Again, take the energy beam that closes the column and climb down to the control panel. Make the black side of the column face the container on the left and move it to the very top (to the place where you stand in front of the deactivated bridge). There, release the energy beam into the empty place. This lets you complete this sector.

The Brig

Here, the story gains momentum. Your character regains consciousness, thanks to which you receive a new ability: you can control Tom's cameras.

When you are looking through the cameras lens, you can open the door by using the green buttons on the wall - Chapter 4 | Walkthrough - Walkthrough - The Turing Test Game Guide

When you are looking through the camera's lens, you can open the door by using the green buttons on the wall. You can also change from one camera to another. In order to return to your character, you only have to press the Backspace key, or roll your mouse over the camera and press E. Cut back to your character when you are behind the door shown in the screenshot and open the door by using the energy beam. This ends Chapter four.
