If you want you can play with a family who lives in one of the houses. In this case click “Chose Household” [068], and you will see a city with the icons of houses which are inhabited. You can get to know their inhabitants and their property [069] and choose one family.

There’s a level of difficulty in this game which depends on the number of Sims which you lead. I don’t recommend playing with more than two Sims, it’s better to start alone and build the base for the family.
