Ayleid Ruins – elfish remains of an ancient civilisation that ruled Cyrodiil before the Empire was proclaimed. These are usually quite big, 2 or 3 level dungeons, filled with traps and (mostly) undead. Ayleid Ruins are the only place where you can come by Welkynd and Varla stones, which are useful in some quests and also quite valuable. Most of the Ayleid ruins play a certain role in a miscellaneous quest called “The Collector” (found in Imperial City). |

Camps – small bandit encampments, a few tents and a fireplace is all there is to them. |

Caves – just yer everyday RPG caverns, what’s there to tell? They are very different from each other when it comes to monster encounters and size. Not all of them are related to some quests. |

Cities – gates, districts, etc. Most of them are already marked on your map when you start the game. |

Daedric Shrines – there are 15 of them, and each one is connected to a particular quest. See “Daedric Quests” chapter for details. |

Forts – ruined imperial posts, usually consisting of both underground and on-ground facilities. |

Inns – places to stay and rest, sometimes to find a quest in. |

Mines – not very common around Cyrodiil. The only difference between a mine and a common cave is a presence of silver/gold veins, from which you can get some nuggets. |

“Peaks” – well, the name isn’t too accurate, but it’s hard to define this type of locations. They are mostly some terrain irregularities that you are lead to by certain quests. |

Settlements – farms, priories, temples and such. Most of them are connected to some quests. |

| Oblivion Unmarked Cave:While the main door is locked, their is a way to explore the cave. You need the boots of springheel jack. Those are found near the end of the thieves guild quest. Then enchant all your armor for acrobatics, except the boots.thats what springheel jacks boots are for.Enchant amulet and rings, then cast a spell to fortify acrobatics. If you completed the mages guild quest. If you go down the left passage in unmarked cave to the next to the last passage on the left, look up theirs a drop thru from above. You should be able,if properly enchanted to reach the ledge, and enter the cave. While their is no quest for this cave their are an assortment of creatures to vanquish. | pookie3467 18/02/2009 18:00 | | Unmarked cave
This cave was apparently intended to be part of a quest that was never completed. One result is that most of the cave is inaccessible without taking advantage of exploits
To the right when you first enter this cave is a locked door that requires a unique key to open, and thus cannot be lockpicked. This door leads to the second section of the cave, Unmarked Cave Mazeway. However the key for this door does not actually exist in the game (or even in the game's construction set; see the Talk Page), nor is there any script that unlocks the door. Therefore you can normally only explore part of the first zone.
Unmarked Cave Black Queen's Hall contains a chest identified in the construction set as ChestMS25DungeonMythicEnemyRare01. The chest's name demonstrates that it was supposed to be used as part of a miscellaneous quest identified as "MS25". No such quest exists in the distributed version of the game, however, and this is the only reference anywhere to MS25. Despite its interesting name, the chest is completely empty.
One other possible clue related to this quest is a "Rumor" dialogue that can be heard in Cheydinhal:
Dervera Romalen is sure proud of the Newlands Lodge. I think she's especially happy that the Red Queen drinks there.
This is the only mention anywhere of a "red queen". It is possible that the unfinished quest involved both a red queen and a black queen.

There's a door stating I need a key and I don't know where to get it. I've searched the cave high and low, checked all the quests if someone would say anything about it, but nothing.
