Ayleid Ruins - elfish remains of an ancient civilization that ruled Cyrodiil before the Empire was proclaimed - Map Segment #1 - Province of Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Ayleid Ruins - elfish remains of an ancient civilization that ruled Cyrodiil before the Empire was proclaimed. These are usually quite big, 2 or 3 level dungeons, filled with traps and (mostly) undead. Ayleid Ruins are the only place where you can come by Welkynd and Varla stones, which are useful in some quests and also quite valuable. Most of the Ayleid ruins play a certain role in a miscellaneous quest called "The Collector" (found in Imperial City).

Camps - small bandit encampments, a few tents and a fireplace is all there is to them - Map Segment #1 - Province of Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Caves - just yer everyday RPG caverns, what's there to tell - Map Segment #1 - Province of Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Caves - just yer everyday RPG caverns, what's there to tell? They are very different from each other when it comes to monster encounters and size. Not all of them are related to some quests.

Cities - gates, districts, etc - Map Segment #1 - Province of Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Cities - gates, districts, etc. Most of them are already marked on your map when you start the game.

Daedric Shrines - there are 15 of them, and each one is connected to a particular quest - Map Segment #1 - Province of Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Mines - not very common around Cyrodiil - Map Segment #1 - Province of Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Mines - not very common around Cyrodiil. The only difference between a mine and a common cave is a presence of silver/gold veins, from which you can get some nuggets.

"Peaks" - well, the name isn't too accurate, but it's hard to define this type of locations. They are mostly some terrain irregularities that you are lead to by certain quests.

Settlements - farms, priories, temples and such - Map Segment #1 - Province of Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Settlements - farms, priories, temples and such. Most of them are connected to some quests.

Enrich_Doomsayer 18/11/2010 19:10

I figured I'd just let you know that the symbol you have as "peaks" are considered "Landmarks"...that would be the term to use.

Hides-His-Eyes 29/05/2010 06:38

I don't know why you are looking for Ald'Ruhn in Oblivion, that is one of the starting cities in Morrowind...completely different game man...

Balack1224 13/03/2010 00:42

Forget my last post. What/where's the place where you can raid the house's and find a spear? This site: http://www.gamewinners.com/Cheats/index.php/More:The_Elder_Scrolls_4:_Oblivion:_Locations .called the place Ald' Ruhn, and i was wondering if it's even on the map and if it is, where is it. PLEASE. PLEASE tell me. P.S.: this is what the site says... Ald'Ruhn: Powerful spear Use the following trick to get a powerful spear that has Soul Trap 1,000 points cast when hit. Go to Ald'Ruhn and start looting people's homes on the right side just before you hit Skar, the giant shell thing. In one of the houses (probably the ones that are locked), you will find a blonde woman. Kill her if desired, then go to her bed beside the closet. There will be a spear called Buerketnhgs or something similar. Take it and get a lot of Greater and Grand Soul Gems, as everything you attack gets trapped.

Balack1224 13/03/2010 00:16

Will somebody PLEASE help me locate a place called Ald' Ruhn. If you'll help me, E-mail me at shaye2013@hotmail.com.

Easy E5597. try going to dark fissure in map segment 9. it is number 16 in the list of places underneath the map.

cuban plantain 11/01/2010 01:39

kkcoolman. it is in the map segment 10 area. it is kinda hard to get up there. my advice is to go to fort farragut above cheydinhal and then go up the mountain until is says you cant go that way. turn back. Then go left and keep on going left but stay up in the mountain. eventually you will run into the Underfrykte Matron. use a couple of fire balls as it has a weakness to it. keep on going and on your compass at the bottem of the screen it will show you the funny sign that looks like a mountain peak. it will be there.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE THE NECROMANCER LAIRS ARE AT TO MAKE BLACK SOUL GEMS? I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND ONE SITE SAID THERE IS ONE CALLED SHADOW SCALE LAIR NEAR SEPTIM SHRINE, SOUTH OF THE IMPERIAL CITY AND I CAN'T EVEN FIND THE SEPTIM SHRINE.

evil monkey123 04/07/2008 16:31

Oblivion93 13/02/2008 06:30

Does anyone know how to make the Chameleon enchantment option come up when your enchanting in the Arcane University?

Legendary Chicken Chaser 12/01/2008 03:17

I love those types of teachers... anyway an interesting fact (If you are in the mages guild) Mannimarco is the necromancer from Dagger Fall and he comes back in Oblivion, this time you get to kill the SOB. Oh so satisfying... I'M THE ULTIMATE CONJUORER AND NOT YOU!... ha ha randomness.

UnKn0wN 12/01/2008 00:37

When you say "You do whatever you want", do you mean you could be a teacher in Oblivion? Just joking, you can't, but I wish you could. My reading teacher said she is going to straggle someone. I laughed all day in school.

Mr. Progamer 11/01/2008 23:27
