Find the Heir / Breaking the Siege of Kvatch  (54/109)

When you reach Kvatch, you’ll be told that the whole city is destroyed by forces of evil. Go up the path and meet Savlian Matius, local guard captain. He will ask you to close the Oblivion gate nearby. Agree to that, defeat some enemies, and cross the gate.

Well, here you are. Oblivion. Go to the left and follow the path to the end. Watch our for enemies and some rocks falling from the cliff. To the right, you’ll see some mean looking towers. Go towards them and enter the biggest one.

When you’re inside The Blood Feast, get rid of some enemies. Your goal now is to reach the top of this tower. Go through the door to Rending Halls. There go to the central room (the one with fountain in it) and use the door to get back to The Blood Feast. Go up and enter Corridors of Dark Salvation. Find the exit (to Plane of Oblivion) and cross the bridge to Reapers Sprawl. You’ll hear a voice calling for help. Go to the top of the tower and you’ll face a mini-boss – Dremora Sigil Keeper. You’ll find a key when you search his body. Talk to the prisoner and go back to Corridors of Dark Salvation. Use the key and go up, finding yet another door to The Blood Feast. Enter the moving platform. Continue going upwards until you reach Sigillum Sanguis. Enter the central room in there and reach the top. Touch the Sigil Stone, and you’ll find yourself back in Kvatch. Kudos, your first Oblivion gate is down. Go talk to Matius and tell him you’re ready to enter the city.

A short battle on the market square follows, nothing big after walking through hell itself. Once you deal with all the monsters talk to Savlian and enter the Chapel. There you will meet Martin, the Emperor’s son you are looking for. Tell him about everything and he’ll gladly join you back to Weynon Priory.

There, it turns out the place is being attacked by the very same cultists that took care of the Emperor. You’ll find Jauffre in the Chapel (a small building to the right). Talk to him and go to his office, when you’ll find out that the amulet is gone. Talk to everyone. You will agree to go to Cloud Ruler Temple.

I know exactly where you are...I was just in your situation

You need to go back into the Corridors of Dark Salvation and find the tunnel where you came in through the locked door and go back through and find ANOTHER locked door marked "Corridors of Dark Salvation" use the same key from the Dremora Sigil Keeper and THIS time you'll go up farther and end up where you were looking up. In this game I have just found after hours of futile standing and searching ("there MUST be a hidden door! I went through the locked door named _____ and I'm at location ______!!!!). I just backtracked a bit and found there were 2 locked doors named the same thing leading to different places.

Sorry if that seems a little confusing, I was pulling my hair out by the time I finally figured it out.

Help! I'm new to the game (PC). I cannot find any moving platform. If I look up, I can see what might be the platform, but there is no way up to it just a thin ledge that leads all the way around the room and back. Help! I will be eternally grateful! kieranjefferson@homail.com

right there's a common view that the kvatch siege is a piece of piss. Im sure it is if you are of a low level and complete it straight away. I was an idiot couldnt be bothered with it , forgot about it and left it until i was of level 20. i bet a lot of you are thinking it should then be ridiculously easy.. far from it.

With every level you grow, the enemies that you face reflect this level, therefore, i went into kvatch facing fucking stupidly good creatures everyone of the kvatch army got battered and that guy who you are helping, fuck his name, gets the shit kicked out of him but because of the fact he "can not die" goes unconscious every bloody minute. I hate to say it but im gona have to turn the difficulty down for this quest which gives me a sense of cheating and i hate it. I think that the level reflection is bullshit and that the scripting should mean the same creatures are there whether you take the quest on at level 1 or 25.

so when people comment that kvatch is a piece of piss, dont be too sure to answer "haha how shit are you", but true say some people are maggots and one person was moaning "i cant kill the little goblin things' what a cunt. hhahahahaha

Do the "Finding your Roots" quest (It's very easy, so don't listen to this guide, it makes it seem much harder than it actually is; google for the list of locations for each plant, and then you should be just fine. I completed the whole thing in less than a day). Anyway, after you have completed the mission even by a litte bit (meaning that you don't need the strongest potion to do this glitch) and obtained at least one of the three potions, you should be able to use the duplicate items glitch on it (look around here for the instructions to do the glitch; it's pretty straightforward). Duplicate the potion many many times over then find a shop and sell all but one of the copies of the potion to the shop owner. Now if you still want more money, repeat the process again and keep selling the multiple duplicates of the rare potion for endless gold pieces.

There is probably a much easier way, but it's the way I went about it, and now all I have to do is duplicate and sell the potion (or any item, frankly) to get more money.

That was just an example, but you can duplicate any object pretty much. The problem is only a few items are really worth anything, so make sure whatever you are duplicating will be worth alot of money to shop owners before you go through all that trouble.
