The Shrine of the Crusader  (12/109)

After visiting the last shrine, you’ll hear a voice of Pelinal Whitestrake who’ll teleport you to a different dimension for a brief talk. After a short scene you’ll be back to Cyrodiil, and on your map you’ll see a new shrine. It’ll turn out that it’s actually underwater. Dive in the indicated spot and use the door leading to Vanua.

A quite usual Ayleyd ruin before you. At (1) use the button on the wall to open up the passage. Go forth until you reach a way down to The Shrine of the Crusader (2).

In here you’ll find Sir Amiel’s body (1) by which you’ll see a journal and some trademark Knights of the Nine equipment. That will trigger another quest – Priory of the Nine. Grab the journal, a ring and a key.

Use the key to open the door to the west (2). Go through a crack in the wall (3) and reach the passage to The Lost Catacombs (4). In there, go through the corridor and another crack to find another door back to The Shrine of the Crusader. Now you can grab the helmet (5). Leave this place using the passage to Vanua (6), then hurry back outside using the path you already know.

comments and responses

No No No. The best armor in the game is still daedric. Do the glitch to get the mace of doom and then go in the house in the same glitch to get all the sigil stones and put which ever you want on the daedric armor and its incredible. My armor level is 156. crazy stong.

Evidently, after winning the Gauntlets of the Crusader it is possible to accidentally sell/drop them and be unable to locate them. The gamefaqs addcode list is too old to have them. Does anyone know the addcode for them or know how to acquire them? This will save more than 10 hours of gameplay and a lot of frustration. Thanks.

In response to Quagmire's post, I have absolutely no idea why you just die. Could it possibly be you mistake the loading screen and possibly an "Item equip" noise to be death? And regarding your other post, grand soul gems are everywhere. Dungeons, houses, bandits lots of places.

Oh and just for the new people. When fighting ghosts or wraiths you don't JUST need a enchanted weapon, you can also use any weaponry made of daedric or silver (silver weapons are much easier to find at the beginning of game).

Just thought I'd say that since the ghost thing came up.

If you are having trouble beating the quest try lowering the difficulty setting for the game in options menu, unless you already did, then all I can say is raise your level or combat abilities more. Also I think amber and madness is the same in strength, just depends on what type of armor you are best with.
