In the screenshot red has been used to mark the braking zone, yellow for the fragment where you neither brake nor accelerate, and green where you step on it. F course, everything depends on the individual turn and your speed.

Street Races

Driving path - street

During street races, you can gain the edge over your opponents by cutting corners correctly. The distance from the turn, where you need to start the cut, depends mainly on the speed and the car. Still, you can stop braking while turning. Usually, on streets, you can straighten bends and drive over pavement and grass. Also, you will often have to knick a lamppost or a pole. You need to remember, however, that most probably, the car will jump on the curb so, you need to perform the actual part of the turn before you enter it. At the turn exit, immediately accelerate and press nitro boost.

Off-road Races

In off-road races you usually drive off-road cars. With such cars, you can easily straighten bends to the extent permitted by the situation of checkpoints. Often, you do not even need to use the brake, and you only need to release acceleration for the moment of passing the turn. The turn itself should be taken behind the pole that is often present there.

Circuit Races

Driving path - racetrack

While racing on racetracks, cutting corners is not such an option. The starting phase of the maneuver is the same, as in the case of street races. Braking up to the turn may also take place, while turning. However, you can enter the curb with two wheels at most, because the cars that you drive here have stiff suspension. While driving some of the cars with rear drive, you need to be careful at the turn exit and not put your foot down.
