Battle of France | German| Campaign Sudden Strike 4 Guide

Mission objectives:

• Capture the gas station
• Advance over the railway lines and eliminate all opposition
• New objective: hold the crossroad

Once again, you will face the French army. However, this time the British troops will join them. It's best to select the armored or support doctrine, and pick the sandbag ability. Halfway through the mission, you will have to defend yourself again incoming attacks.

You will start the mission with a large squad but the vehicles will soon run out of fuel. First, go left until you come across some infantry (1). Now clear the path north, up until the crossroad with hostile soldiers (2). There, you will come across many abandoned vehicles but you should leave them for now. Use all your troops to attack the gas station (3). You should be able to deal with the infantry, before soldiers can actually reach machine guns. Be careful, as moments later the enemy will strike back (the path below the gas station, right from the bottom left corner). If you have all your forces there, you should be able to repel the assault without any problems. Refill your vehicles and move your forces north (4). Make sure to take some of your troops (especially your support units, guns and transporters) to the crossroad in the middle of the map (5).

The British heavy tank is hard to destroy but striking it from different directions should do the trick. Once this is done, make sure to set up your own defenses along the crossroad. Hide as many units as possible in the bushes and fortify your position with sandbags.

In the north village, you will face heavy tank Matilda. Your only chance to destroy the beast is to hit it hard from back and both sides. Once you clear the surrounding area, your task will be to scout the area north from the rails. Before you do that, save your game and be ready to defend yourself.

Once you reveal numerous hostile units, and their heavy machinery, you will need to halt them at the crossroad (5). You will receive several Flak 88 guns to help you, and even more guns later on. Line them up towards north-west. You can place some mines but the enemy will use infantry as well. Place your scouts in the front, and make sure to hide them in bushes and near trees. Deploy the obtained guns and tanks, and support them with sandbags. Flak 88 has a major advantage over regular guns, as it can turn towards incoming enemies, even though it was previously fortified with sandbags. Its fire power is superior as well. Defend yourself again several waves of enemies. If you keep your units close to one another, you should deal with your opponents without too much trouble.
