Nation description - Egyptian

Name - Civilization 6: Egypt - Cleopatra, nation overview, tips - Nations - Sid Meiers Civilization VI Game Guide

Name

Effect

Iteru

Districts and wonders are build +15% faster if they are placed adjacent to a river. Floodplains do not block placement of districts and wonders.

You can easily notice that a good starting location is, for Egypt, very important and if the terrain is not profitable enough for you, you should start a new scenario. It is worth noting that the bonus doesn't have any hidden costs - you simply build all your districts and wonders faster throughout the whole game if you place them on tiles near a river. City like this is organized in a straight line which, on the one hand, gives you good profits but, on the other, restricts your defensive capabilities for given districts. Place your capital so that, in the radius of three tiles near the capital, you have adjacent tiles with a river.

Name

Effect

Mediterranean's Bride

Your trade routes to other civilizations provide additional +4 to gold. Other players' trade routes to Egypt provide +2 to food for them and +2 to gold for you.

Thanks to this ability you can use the trade routes in many ways. It doesn't matter whether it was you who began the trade or other nation, in each case you get a passive profit. Remember, that you can get gold only from international trade and your treasury will only benefit from peaceful or neutral relations with other players. If, despite a very careful exploration, you haven't found enough cities to use the potential of trading routes, you should trade within your borders. You won't get the bonus from the table above but you will build a route and get profits that are depends on the number of districts that you built in your target city. If you play as other nation then choose Egypt as your last trade route target and only if you have no other alternatives. There is no point in letting other players to get more money from the beginning of the game, especially that the profits that you may get are incommensurate to the ones for your enemy.

Summary

In Egypt's case it is hard to point the ways of achieving victory that are the easiest. Both Cleopatra and the entire nation have very universal abilities that allow for flexible decisions. If only you use the full potential of those abilities then, regardless of your choices regarding the victory, it will be easier for you to achieve victory. Starting location is extremely important and if during first 3-4 turns you won't be able to get to a riverbed so you can establish a city then you should restart a scenario. Develop those civics that will allow to quickly establish a trading route. There is no specific time limit for those abilities so if you carefully plan your infrastructure then your enemies won't stand a chance.
