The game starts with Lara reading a letter from her uncle. He is trying to convince her to quickly resign her rights to Croft manor and to leave the place. However, she won't give up without a fight. Her objective is to find documents which her father could have hidden before his death. After a short cutscene you will gain control over the character.

Try opening Lord Croft's safe
Once you gain control of the character, try opening the safe in front of you. You will fail without a code. Look behind and use the survival instinct while having the whole room in front of you. All interactive elements with which you can interact will be highlighted. Don't forget to open the drawers that are part of larger commodes - they are located close to the ground and it is easy to miss them.
Once you gather all items in the room (you should have 7 relics and 3 documents), go to the corridor and try opening the door to the library located on the left side.
Find an alternative path to the library
After an unsuccessful attempt at breaking through the door, Lara will mention a different path. On the boxes behind you there is a map prepared by the female protagonist in the past. It will show you the path to the library through the service rooms. After picking the map up and using survival instinct you will see a hidden path in the wall on the right side. In the display in front of you there is a relic. Open the hidden passage and Lara will notice that it is too dark there to keep going without a flashlight. At this point you should have 9 relics and 3 documents.
Find a flashlight
On the left from the hidden entrance there is another room with two documents. After collecting them you should have five of them in total. In the room there is also an empty display and knight armour which Lara will name sir Lancelot.
Leave the room after collecting all items and turn immediately to the left. In the cabinet there is a relic. Keep walking through the corridor and turn to the right on the turn. Once you reach a crossroad with a blocked road in front of you, pick up the item lying on the windowsill on the left. Go back, turn left and continue marching across the path. You can ignore the chest on your way - you will need a key to open it. While exploring the Grand Hall Lara will memorize events from her past - dialogue will be played and the colors will be changed.
Once you reach the stairs leading to the middle of the room, walk down and then turn right from the stairs. You will find a bust there. Turn around and go down the corridor until you reach the front door of Lara's house. There you will find a phone (document) and the flashlight you seek. Turn around after picking them up and you will see a document in the middle of the room. Behind you, to the left from the door, you will see a document on a windowsill and a closed cabinet with a relic. That is all that you can find here. Now you should have 14 relics, 8 documents and 1 mural. Since you have the flashlight, you can go back to the hidden corridor for the service.
Reach the library by using the service passage
The cart with the wine bottles blocks the passage to the further part of the vineyard.
After passing through the door of the hidden passage you should pick up the documents lying on the left. Walk down and take the recording from the table. The door ahead from the stairs is locked, so turn left, to the basement. Before entering the basement you can find another document on the right side. At the end of the corridor, among the wine shelves, there is a table with another collectible. Once you pick it up, go back halfway the corridor, to the cart with bottles. You can move it and open passage to the further part of the basement. After walking through the unlocked passage Lara will remember other scenes from her childhood, it is worth listening to them. There is a chessboard on the table - another relict for your collection. In order to open the closets under the window you will need a crossbar, so you can ignore them for now.
When walking down the passage, notice Amelia's journal lying on the chest on the left. Select the path to the left that goes under the wall. A few meters forward there is Winston's entry on the ledge with wine. At the end of the passage there is another cart with wine that you must move to unlock access to another cart that after moving will unlock further passage. Enter the corridor lighted with a single bulb and pick up the carafe from the chest.
Further path leads through a low tunnel. After you enter it another dialogue with protagonist's memories will start. Turn right on the corner and keep going until you reach a crossroad where you can continue walking through the flooded path or you can turn left to the dry land. Keep going ahead until you reach another crossroad - this time turn right and you will find another relic. The path ahead will force Lara to crouch. It will lead you to the crossroad with the previously ignored path. Ahead of you there will be a relict lying inside a lasso - you can safely pick it up. Now you should have 18 relics, 14 documents and 1 mural.
Further path leads through the short corridor filled with broken pieces of the base of the building. It will lead you to a corridor blocked by chests between which Lara can squeeze. Once on the other side, turn left and you will see a tight niche with another relic between the chests and the wall. Collect it and move back. Use the ladder at the end of the room.
Walk towards the table in the corner of the room after climbing up. Pick up the documents. On the nearby shelf there is Lord Croft's audiolog. On the right side you can find a wooden wall which is actually a secret passage to the library.
