Bones warns you that there appeared another sea monster

You get the opportunity to receive this quest soon after you progress to the third chapter of the game's story line, i.e. after you start preparations for the spirit ritual. After you have already taken one ship journey, you should be accosted by Bones. You will learn that there appeared another gigantic beast in the nearby waters. You will encounter the beast after you use the ship again (regardless of your destination) and you will have to complete this quest.

Avoid the green projectiles

This quest is more difficult than the "Attack on the High Seas" quest. This time, the sea monster is going to try to sink your ship by launching big green projectiles. You can limit the risk of colliding with such a projectile, first of all, by avoiding situations in which your ship is coming right at the monster. In most cases, you will not have enough time, then, to change the course. Always try to approach the beast in slalom.

Using side cannons will deprive the monster of its health bar faster

The fact that the monster attacks the ship means that it is vital for the battle to be as short as possible. I recommend against using the prow cannon, because it does not pack enough firepower. Instead, position yourself parallel to the monster and fire side cannons. Continue up until you drain the monster's entire health bar.
