How to unlock the quest: through conversation with Morrison.
Quest giver: Morrison (point 26 on the map).
Morrison can be found in the Southern section of the map, near one of the pathways leading to wilderness (point 26 on the map). During the conversation with Morrison, he will ask the Nameless Hero to find 5 mushrooms. The main hero will sense the fact that giving the mushrooms to the man isn't the best idea and an alternative solution to this quest will unlock (you will find more about it below). Apart from that, during your first encounter with Morrison you are able to use your Intimidate skill, developed to at least 50 points. It will allow you to force Morrison to hand over 200 Gold.
Stay on your actual path and finish your march to the West (point 26 on the map). You should be extra careful, as the route to collect mushrooms is blocked by a pack of Skeletons, Minions and Hellhounds. After killing off all the monsters (watch out for Minions - this specific breed wields magic!) start searching for the mushrooms (Dark Mushroom). You can locate them on you own, or use the map markers to ease your job a little. You have to acquire 5 of them at total (100 Glory Points).
As it was mentioned before, the quest can be finished in two ways. The first one is to give the mushrooms to Morrison (point 26 on the map) and it will give you a negative soul point in the process. A lot better solution is to go a mage called Nergal, located in the basement of the main mages building (point 16 on the map). The mage will take the mushrooms from you and you will be given a positive soul point.
Rewards for completing the quest:
- 200 Glory Points (only if you gave the mushrooms to Morrison)
- 200 Glory Points (only if you gave the mushrooms to Nergal)
- 150 Gold (only if you gave the mushrooms to Morrison)
- 150 Gold (only if you gave the mushrooms to Nergal)
