How to unlock the quest: -

Most of the main quests from the Taranis Island are associated with the Mages Camp. The crystal mages headquarters is located in the central section of the map (point M on the map). The large Western gate leads to the encampment. Additionally, it's worth knowing, that some areas of the encampment (the building in which the most powerful mages reside, for instance) are initially unavailable. The only way to gain access to the additional locations, is to complete the main quest called "Visiting Rights".

Note - Baker can also lead you inside of the Mages Camp, during the side quest called "Tour of Taranis".
