Quest giver: Morgan [#1]

This quest is part of: Ship's Equipment

You'll get this quest in the port city's tavern after talking to Morgan [#1], who is sitting by one of the tables. He had planned to join the crew of some ship, but he doesn't want to have anything to do with Captain Slayne - the pirate has too little respect for human life. Because you need to assemble a crew for the controversial captain, it doesn't leave you too much choice - you have to convince Morgan to change his mind. There's only one way to do it - by defeating him in a series of competitions (see: Pirate Triathlon with Morgan).

The first competition is a conventional sword fight - simply defeat him in a regular way. You can of course fight dirty or use firearms - it's a pirate fight, not an honorable duel. When the man falls, help him up and join him in a drinking contest. The rules are simple - empty the bottles as fast as you can before your opponent does, trying not to knock them over (it's a huge waste of time). When that part is over as well, it's time for a shooting match - shoot down at least seven objects with only ten bullets. Try not to hit a bomb while you're at it - you'll fail immediately!

When all stages of the triathlon are over, it's time to count your winnings. You need to win at least two competitions for the quest to be completed - if you win all three, there's no bonuses, and losing means only that you have the do the triathlon all over again. The moment you're declared the winner, the quest will end and Morgan will make up his mind to join Captain Slayne's crew.

Rewards:

  • 200 Glory points for completing the quest;
  • 100 Glory points for defeating Morgan in a direct fight.
