Quest giver: Holly [#1]

In Booze's tavern you can meet Holly [#1], a local prostitute under the supervision of another of the tavern's patrons, Hank. The girl will be eager to tell you a few interesting things, so don't be afraid to talk to her. The most curious one is a rumor about Pete's treasure, a pirate who's recently gone missing. Make her tell you everything she knows (it will be necessary to pay her 100 Gold) and you'll activate the quest.

Note! By having a conversation with Holly you may unintentionally step on Hank's toes. The pimp will demand cash for any contact with the girl, and if you refuse, he will force you to fight. You can find more information on this subject in the Setting the Score with Hank quest description.

Save your game frequently if you want to avoid this kind of surprises.

Holly believes Pete had buried his treasure between a gorge and a closely unidentified tomb. The only place that fits the description are the ruins of an ancient building in the central part of the island [#2]. To get there, leave the pirates' camp through the main gate and head west. Don't climb any hills, but keep going straight ahead. After a while, you'll see a large gorge to your right. Turn north and move forward. Your destination is at the end of the path.

During the hike, you'll come across a few animals, quite easy to defeat - monkeys and warthogs. The real threat, though, isn't the local fauna, but an invisible trap buried in the ground. If you activate it, you'll be pierced through by sharp spikes, which means instantaneous death. Your only rescue is pressing Space when a proper command appears on the screen. Save frequently to avoid such accidental failures.

Pete managed to bury his treasure, but not to come back home safely.

When you reach the building, you'll find a corpse [#3] lying on the ground. The dead man is of course Pete. Search his body to receive the Treasure map and complete the quest. At the same time, another one will begin - Pete's Treasure.
