Resident Evil 7: Guest House - Secrets, Maps Resident Evil 7 guide, walkthrough

There are three secrets (Files) located in the Guest House that are worth collecting. You can only collect them during the prologue - you won't be able to come back to this part of the house later. Additionally, you will be able to collect a statuette from the basement near the end of the game, but the item cannot be acquired during the prologue, therefore that part was included in the chapter Salt Mine - secrets.

1. Email from Mia

You will have an email in your inventory from the beginning of the game. Read it, as it's one of the secrets.

2. and 3. List of Names (front and back)

A (two-sided) list of names in the basement.

The second secret is a list of names. It's two-sided and it can be found in the basement of the Guest House. It will be lying on the workshop, near the pincers you use to free Mia from behind the bars.

Antique coins

The drawer in the kitchen.

The only antique coin to collect in this area. Use a trick from the teaser of the game: once the journey in "the past" recorded on a VHS tape starts, turn around at the starting location. You will find a lockpick lying on the ground. Use it to open up a drawer in the kitchen - there's an photo hidden inside, but you don't need it. Finish the recording and go back to the kitchen as Ethan - the drawer will be open and there's going to be a coin lying there this time.
