Getting to Gym2 | Walkthrough Pokemon X/Y Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

Feel free to explore and catch any Pokemon that You like. If Your monsters are weak, head to the PokeCenter and heal them. At the end of the road You will enter the game's biggest settlement, Luminose City.

Once in Luminose, head west on the South Boulevard and enter the Lab and head to the third floor for a battle with Prof - Getting to Gym2 - Walkthrough - Pokemon X/Y - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Once in Luminose, head west on the South Boulevard and enter the Lab and head to the third floor for a battle with Prof. Sycamore. He battles with ale three starters from the first series of Pokemon ( Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander) and all are lvl. 10. One of them won't be a problem (look up the type chart, Your starter should be perfect for the fight!), while the others still won't pose a threat, because after the Gym battle You should have quite a strong line up. If however, You're still having trouble, return to Santalune Forest and catch either: Pansear, Pansage or Panpour (each one represents a different starter type, and after some training, should help You win the upcoming battle). When You emerge victorious, Sycamore will offer You a Pokemon, and it is one of the starters. Those have to ability to mega-evolve and will be Your second most important Pokemon after Your first monster. The choice is up to You. I suggest to take a different type then Your starter, as it will balance Your line-up. The best choice is Squirtle (my personal choice) as he makes the upcoming gym battle much easier. Head out, go to a café with the green roof (left from the city entrance) and talk to Your companion. After that, exit towards Route 5 (You will see a huge gate, left from the lab). On Route 5, battle one of Your friends and explore. After a decent amount of training, head east to Camphrier Town. The town itself isn't quite interesting. The only place You need to visit is the house on the north, where Boxes and Pokemon transferring will be explained to You. Then, explore the castle on the far north, a conversation with Your companion Shauna will trigger the next event. Head out. The road is blocked, so You must head north-west, through Route 6 leading up to Parafum Palace.
