Death is an essential element of NiOh. You will often see "This life has ended" on the screen. Each time your hero dies, you will be taken to the previously visited shrine. Unfortunately, you will lose all amrita points that you gathered so far and accumulated charge bar of the "Living Weapons".

The grave will resemble our guardian spirit.

A grave, resembling our guardian spirit (one you select at the beginning of the game), will appear in the place of our fallen body. After "collecting it", amrita and the Living Weapons bar will return to their previous status. If you die again, before you actually reach your guardian spirit, all the collected points will be lost for good.
