Chapter 5 - The Buzzsaw - p. 2 Mafia II Guide

Take cover near the stairs when you're inside the building #1. You should be able to eliminate at least a few enemies from here. Head forward once they're gone. Be careful, because their colleagues are stationed nearby and they will use barrels and pillars for cover #2. Take your time, especially since your friends will provide much needed help here.

Ignore a small explosion taking place in your vicinity #1. You're not in any danger here as long as you remember about not moving too close to the flames. Proceed to the opposite end of the room. The last opponent should be standing on a staircase #2 and it'll be up to you to eliminate him, allowing your colleagues to move further ahead.

Make sure to check your surroundings before proceeding to the first floor. There's a small room to your left and you'll find one of the Playboy magazines there #1. Once you have the collectible in your possession you may head towards the staircase #2. Make sure to choose a good weapon from your arsenal or at least to reload your active firearm.

Be careful, because one of the gangsters working for the Fat Man will try to surprise you near the stairs #1. Kill him and then make your way to the first floor of the building. Take cover and start shooting at other enemies stationed in the area #2. Notice that one of enemy gangsters will be using a shotgun, so you must attack him from a larger distance. Don't forget to collect his weapon once he's been killed.

I wouldn't recommend moving too fast, especially since a new group will soon arrive here in an elevator #1. Obviously you should try killing all the gangsters before they exit the elevator and spread out searching for cover. Joe and Henry should automatically enter the same elevator when it's safe here. Join them #2 and interact with a control panel on the wall. Wait until you're transported to an upper floor.

A large metal gate will be raised soon after you've left the elevator and this means trouble, because your team will find itself under heavy fire from the gangsters with Tommy Guns #1. Thankfully you won't have to attack enemies from here. I would recommend going to the left room and quietly approaching enemy positions. Surprise the gangsters from the flank #2 and make sure to take their machine guns after the battle.

There's only one passageway leading to the next area and you can find it by following your colleagues. Take cover near the passageway leading to the attic. A new gangster is standing near the stairs and it would be best to wait for him to start reloading his weapon before attacking him #1. One more bad guy will be waiting for you in the attic #2, but thankfully he'll be easier to kill (assuming of course you're using cover).

It shouldn't take long for you and your buddies to locate the Fat Man, because he will be hiding in the corner of the attic #1. You'll watch a new cut-scene here. Take a look around afterwards, collecting a new Playboy magazine #2. Despite what you might think, you won't have to be in a lot of hurry here, because Henry will be fine for the time being.
