| Shannon, Blodskaal -> the tower support have to be smashed only once, and if it did not worked out it means you hit the metal gate not tower support!!
you do not need to be lucky - it will be enough if your character will stand near (but not TOO near - it will throw you away and hurt you) the tower support, cast jinx on the cauldron, slowly (but not TOO slow - the cauldron will fall down eventually) turn it to the front of the tower suport (to the opening space in metal gate) and push the cauldron into it - and it will collapse! | Me 01/04/2007 12:54 |
| This is very Easy, NOTE: you HAVE to be playing as ron and stand right in front of the gate, or you must be very lucky (the PC ron must stand in front of the gate.

| I agree with J. the pictures are really helpful especially with the red marks showing you exactly where to go or where the object is. I have all 4 games on he pc so far and the first three were more story-telling than playing, but they were still enjoyable. i would totally recommend this game because it is an adventure game and it is challenging at times and it is fun. | For everyone having some trouble, once you put out the fires (you must put out the fires, or the salamanders will keep multiplying!), kill the salamanders (try using Aqua Eructo, then jinxing them), etc., the gate will open. Use any cauldron really, I used the one to the right of the gate. Cast Wingardium Leviosa on the cauldron, and pass it through the gate to hit the tower column. The reason for passing it through the gate, is because the cauldron will never levitate over the fence. It may look like you're hitting it, but don't be fooled!
Now smash the other columns with cauldrons, and your Triwizard Shield will appear. Let me just say, that you do NOT need Ron to be anywhere near the column. He will still 'magically' appear in place for him to almost get crushed.
TIP: When dealing with salamanders, try NOT to be the first one he sees. Instead, sneak around him while Ron and Hermione fight the salamanders. This will leave you time to put out the fire so the salamanders will cease to multiply, and do whatever it is you need to do to move ahead. | Radical.x 29/06/2006 19:29 |

| Well, I got it to work. For anyone searching after me, this is how I did it. Killed all the salamanders, put out the three fires. This dropped the gate. Then using the cauldron furthest from the entrance to this area, I manuvered it through the gate, between the fence and the tower on the left hand side of the tower, and then hit the tower. FYI - I had to be playing as Ron, or have Ron between my character and the tower when I hit it. | tlcivy 05/04/2006 15:59 |
