has anyone seen the forgotten guardian at the southern most center of arid sea? he is at a teleporter. on the map above he is directly under the "04" at the very bottom of the map.

If you go near the ruined city by the vulture drifts exit you can find an item called "Ancient Weapon" that looks like a relic (you know, the boxy thing with the beam of light pointing out of the top). It just appears there, seems to have no use, possibly left over from some beta quest?
