Path of the Orcs  (39/40)

Ardea

You start your journey in Ardea and you have no chance: you have to kill the Orcs here. Then follow Gorn to Reddock but you can’t learn anything about Xardas here. Go to Cape Dun then.

Cape Dun

Earn the Orcs’ respect here and talk to Uruk the leader of the city. Help him to find the rebel underground and destroy Reddock. Now you may go to Montera.

Montera

You can spend only a while here. You just learn about the shamans from Geldern and Silden (they may know something about Xardas). Go to Silden.

Silden

You don’t have to spend a lot of time here (just like in Montera). Find Grompel the shaman and ask him about Xardas. He tells you to go north. This time you don’t have to visit Faring because there is a pass to Nordmar near Silden.

Wolf Clan, Hammer Clan

Visit both clans and ask about Xardas. The Greypelt leads you to the Xardas tower.

Xardas tower

Meet the necromancer and listen to his story. Your job is to find the Adanos artifacts. Do it then.

Geldern, Trelis, Mora Sul, Al Shedim, Gotha, Fire Clan

A long road awaits you. You have to visit the same places I described when earlier but this time you have to do some quests in different way (you can’t fight with the Rocs of course). When you get all artifacts go back to Madras.

Xardas tower

Talk to the magician and listen to his plans. Xardas wants do destroy all artifacts and god’s elements in Myrtana. Do exactly what he says.

Go straight to the Hammer Clan. You have to reach their mine and put the artifacts to the furnace (with the magic stone you received from Xardas). Go back to the necromancer because it’s not the end of the mission.

Next step is to take the god’s elements from the leaders of the rebels and Hashishin: Rhobar and Zuben. And it means that you have to kill them both. Go to Vengard and Ishtar to do the job (when you kill them take artifacts belonging to Rhobar (the scepter of Varant) and Zuben (the staff of the Eternal Wanderer). Then go back to Xardas for his last orders.

It’s time for you to leave this world. Escort Xardas to the magic portal, activate it (use the artifacts taken from Zuben and Rhobar), and enter the portal.

This is the end of the Orcs’ path.

I`ve got all the five artifacts of Adanos, but Xardas doesn`t want to speak with me:| What the hell should I do?

Move your cursor over the portal (the big monolith), there should be a spot where it will open a dialog if you click om it.

North West of Geldern I followed Xardas along a pathway to the portal. The path is blocked a huge stone and Xardas went right into it. I climbed the mountain and found the path on the other side of huge stone, but no Xardas or portal. Where is the portal?
I did find a dragon in the ruin castle over looking Geldern.

Have you completed all his quests? Did you destroy the artifacts? The trip to the portal is the ending of the game. It is one of three possible endings, the other two do not result in you following Xardas to the portal.

yeah i i got rid of all the artifacts and did what xardas told me to do but he isn't leading me to the portal,by the way thanks for the help

You did what every thing? What you do with the Adanos artifacts is the everything decider. Did you destroy them as Xardas instructed, if so he will talk to to you and lead you to the portal. If you spoke to either Beliar(Zuben's palace) or Innos (monastery ) then you chose another path and the magic portal is meaningless. If you don't have all of the artifacts, you are not done.

hey where is the magic portal to end the game i did everything but xardas won't talk to me and i can't find the portal

True, but throughout the Gothic series Adanos was always the balance between light and dark, good and evil. Thus Xardas' third way destroys the artifacts that each side has used to wage war on the other, and strikes a balanced ending. I was only taking issue with the guide which says that it is the path of the Orcs, when it clearly is not. Of course, there is no shrine of Adanos, who would erect them? But the artifacts are Adanos'.

nop in my opinion it is good(innos) evil(beliar) and xardas(has nothing to do with gods) adanos has nothing to do with the completion of the game because in contrast with innos and beliar there is no shrine of adanos and because through the game adanos does't speak to you himself like innos or beliar do

BTW, calling the Xardas solution the path of the orcs is a bit off the mark. The three should be titled: The Path of Innos (Rhobar), whom the rebels, paladins and Nordmarians worship The Path of Beliar (Zuben), whom the Orcs and Hashishin worship The Path of Adanos (Xardas), whom the rangers, druids, and water mages worship

Nothing wrong with that philosophy, but you should at least talk to them first, that way you do not lose the story line, and you at least can choose to perform their quests or not. In the Gothic series, it has always helped (more levels) to perform quests for all factions to gain max experience, then decide which faction to join.
