The Hall of Atropos  (15/27)

This location is very similar to Destiny’s Atrium. First, defeat three phantoms. There’s a door near the save point, go through it. There’s a difficult battle to be fought here: you stand against three mages who summon Minotaurs. Deal with the mages first! The quickest way to get rid of them is to use the fatality button and quickly tap O when prompted. Repeat this a few times for each mage and you’ll be done.

To get out of this area, you have to show some reflexes. Place the two movable pillars in a way that’s shown on the screenshot below (left one), then use the turnstile to raise one of them. Now quickly jump on them to reach the upper platform. You have to be really fast to do that.

Use the ladder to the left and go around the stairs so that you end up on the other side of the big grate. Defeat two new enemies and push the movable fragment of the wall so that it fall on the courtyard. Jump down after it and place it in a way that will let you reach the other ladder. Go along the plank to the left and open the door at the back of the screen (there’s a chest with Phoenix Feather to the right of it).

Defeat a group of enemies and approach the passage. You’ll see a save point. Jump along the hooks to the other side of the abyss. You’ll see a statue that enables you to slow down time. Stand on a barely visible button hidden in the branches and press L1+R1 to stop time. Move along the extended branches to the central platform. Jump to the right and grab another Phoenix Feather. Stand on a similar button and get back to the original platform. Repeat the whole operation, only this time reach the platform to the left of the central one. Defeat the enemies and stand on the next button. Slow down time and run towards the central platform, then to the left. Once there, stand on the final button, slow down time again and get back to the central platform, then to the left (phew!). Open the huge gate to initiate a cut-scene.

Another boss waits for you here. This time it’s Perseus. In the first phase he’s invisible. You can’t do anything about it, so just watch the water carefully to notice where he is. Stick to the bright parts of the pool. Use combos with the widest range possible to get him. When he’s weakened, you’ll see a O marker above he’s head. Press the desired button to make him visible at last. From now on it only gets easier. Perseus is a moderate swordsman and you’ll have no problem with putting him down.

After you win the battle, you’ll get a Shield of Perseus. Slide down the chain to get back to the courtyard. Approach the statue on the right side of the upper level – hit it a few times and then place the shield on it. Push it down and place it on a moving platform in the middle. Use the turnstile to raise the platform, then quickly go up the ladder and use the Golden Fleece (L1) to reflect the other ray. Now you can finally go further!

Use the bow to defeat the two distant enemies and jump (using the hooks) to the other side. Go all the way to the huge, open space. Climb a wall and use the lever that’s up there. Jump down and go through the door. Approach the dead bird and take the spear from it. You’ve just obtained another weapon, the Spear of Destiny.

Defeat all the enemies. Grab the movable statue (it’s to the right, you can tell by a green light on it) and place it on a round shape on the floor. Now use the turnstile to turn it 180 degrees, then place it back where it was. You can now go back to the lower platform and slow down time, which will let you get to the other side.

HINT: You might have notices that there are three apparently unreachable chests in this area. The solution is simple: grab the time-slowing statue all the way to one of the little pools along the corridor, slow down time and run towards the chests as fast as you can. The gate won’t fall down fast enough to block you and you’ll be free to grab a Gorgon Eye, a Phoenix Feather and the Urn of Olympus.

After you do that timed puzzle of jumping from one pillar to another and then climb the ladder and before you run down the stairs, there are two chests to the end of the bridge where the stairs start.
