You’ll face some wild boars and cyclopses here. You can deal with the animals by simply executing a fatality on them (O). Cyclopses are very resistant to damage and require some effort. When you bring all the enemies down, magical barriers surrounding the place will vanish.
Go up one of the ladder in the back of the screen. There are movable statues on both sides of the giant face made of stone. Place the left one so that it block the ray coming from one of its eyes. Moving the right one will be a bit more complicated. First use the lever to lower the nearby platform, then place the statue on it, take the elevator back up, jump on it and kick (R1+X) the statue so that it flies all the way to the central bridge. Place it in the right spot. When both rays are blocked, you will be free to go further.
