Possible threats  (4/91)

Here you’ll find a short list of possible threats. You’ll be dealing with these units during the singleplayer campaign of the game, so it would be best to learn something more about them.

Armored vehicle (Panhard) – you will be encountering these types of units quite frequently. The most important thing in these type of situations is to take out the gunner. Once he’s gone, you will have to deal with the rest of the soldiers. They will probably exit the vehicle within a few seconds. You should also know that during that time they’re practically harmless.

Stationery heavy machine gun posts – you will have to be very careful during these fights. One bad move will mean an immediate failure. You will be able to take out the machine gun posts using many different strategies. The most obvious one will force you to take out the gunner himself. You will have to be leaning out a lot. Additionally, remember to aim at his head or leg. The second method involves using the grenades. They will have to land near the machine gun post in order to neutralize it. The last method will require you to surprise the gunner from one of the flanks. You will have to pick an alternative route in order for this action to succeed.

Enemy snipers – this is also a serious threat. One of the most importanting things for you to know is that you won’t be able to spot most of the snipers at first glance. As a result, you will have to remember where they were standing. Once you’ve reloaded the map, try and surprise them. You can also use the tactical view, mostly because the snipers will be standing on roofs of the buildings.

Soldiers equipped with rocket launchers – these units appear only in few missions. Nevertheless, it’s a very serious problem. The most important thing here is to stay away from them. The rocket launcher isn’t effective at a long range. As a result, you should be taking these soldiers out from a large distance. Use the scope or a combatsight to help you out.

Tanks – remember that each time you plan to destroy an enemy tank, you must be equipped with the ZEUS-MPAR rocket launcher. Thanks to it, disabling the vehicle is going to be very simple. You have to position yourself correctly. Make sure that the tank doesn’t notice you. Aim at it and press the fire button in order to launch the missile.

Enemy gunships – there are only a few gunships to deal with during the course of the singleplayer campaign. It doesn’t mean, however, that they don’t pose too much of a threat. They are very difficult to destroy. The easiest way to take them out is to use a rocket launcher. Sadly, you won’t have it in your inventory during some of these fights. As a result, you will have to position yourself near one of the walls. After that, wait for the gunship to appear and start shooting at it. Avoid open areas, because that would make you an easy target. As a result, the gunship would have used its missiles to kill you.

I love this game and at the same time I can hate it. I've been in a loop for 5 hours! I get almost to the end and I get killed and have to run the set again. I've ran this set about 75 times and dies as soon as I get near the next check point. It would be nice if Ubisoft woud create a patch to give you a liite bit more blood ! Also it would be nice if you could pick up the enemy's weapon upon capture! The game really makes me mad when I have to play the same segment over and over. After awhile I just stop and leave the game alone for a couple of days!

I've tried having team members attack the tanks directly after arming them with ZEUS MPAR's, no luck. There is no way to switch team mates weapons. Also, I've tried having team members attack the gunships directly after arming them with ZEUS MPAR's, no go. I've tried shooting my team mates to see if I could acquire their ZEUS MPAR, no good. Not very realistic, but I only paid 10 bucks for the game, so why gripe?

is there a way to switch your squads weapons during gameplay, for example from a machine gun to a silenced weapon?

If you system is crashing, trying updating your graphics/sound drivers. If that doesn't work, check you system specs and make sure you have the video card/processor/memory to run the game smoothly. Great guide by the way. The first I've seen for this game.

Regarding tanks: there are very few moments in the game that require you to actually destroy a tank yourself. In fact, the only moment I can think of is when you secure VIP1 at the very beginning. There are other tanks to destroy, but these missions usually have some sort of alternative, such as using a Gunship, artillery or friendly tanks.

Great guide, i saw the screenshots of the practise mode though and my practise mode is all dark and black. Is this meant to be like this and is there a way to sort it?

The armoured vehicle is known as the Panhard. There are no Humvees in the game.
