[Mission 08] Guardrail IX - Objective: Reach extraction point (71/91)

You should know that you’re able to use the drone again. Order it to get here and perform a full scan of the area. Start shooting at the visible enemy soldiers (#2). You shouldn’t have any problems finding them.

You will have to reach a large junction. Once you’re there, turn right. Be careful. There’s a single enemy unit nearby (#1). You will have to take care of this problem. An enemy tank is patrolling this area. You will have to use the rocket launcher in order to get rid of him (#2). Just make sure you don’t expose yourself too much. Otherwise you would have been spotted by the tank.

Start moving towards the designated extraction zone (#1). You don’t have to worry about enemy troops at the moment. The road shouldn’t be guarded by anyone. Enemy soldiers will appear near one of the large warehouses, located close the last section of this map (#2). Ignore the left sniper, because he won’t do you any harm. Instead, kill a single terrorist that was guarding the entrance to the warehouse. You should also kill one of the snipers on the right.

Start moving towards the extraction point (#1). You must be very careful. Don’t go there just yet, because the area is being guarded by an enemy sniper. I was able to surprise him from the left flank (#2). Remember to use the drone in order to know exactly where he is standing. The sniper has to die. Otherwise he would taken you out very quickly.

Once the sniper is gone, you may proceed to the allied gunship (#1). Press the X key in order to take a seat inside. Wait for the gunship to leave this area (#2). That’s it for this mission.

	You don't need to destroy the tank, just keep running and weaving, you probably won't be hit before you make it around the corner. You've aleady been told that the football can't be retrieved, so just bring up the drone and spot the sniper high to the left beyond the helo. Take him out, or he'll nail you as you cross the square towards the helo. Easy part if you keep moving fast.	MadMacStew 23/11/2007 08:06

	you can go to the building where the first sniper is (close to where the armoured car stands). enter from behind, go upstairs and shot the sniper. from his location you can eliminate at least the stationary machine gun.	kielu 04/01/2007 15:22
	I just ran to the extraction point and killed any enemy solider within my view. I'm also sure that I was lucky because my health was red at the end from all the snipers. I wonder how many times this works.	Cobra 24/10/2006 15:15
	don't enter the warehouse pass the underpass, & to avoid the final sniper behing the helicopter, enter the warehouse to the right of the helicopter as for the football...listen to the commanders	stevie (ms) 22/10/2006 17:06

	To finish this mission, just run and hide, you only need to kill about 4 people, just run away from the rest, I found this to be the best way.	NIMO 31/07/2006 02:02
