David and Goliath are a pair of bosses that can be found at the same location and are treated as a single threat. Finding them is quite difficult, as they are located on a small, remote island, at the south-eastern corner of the map. The exact location of the island can be seen on the above screenshot.

Getting to the Island with the bosses may take some time. In order to reach their lair, you must climb up the rocks and reach solid ground. Note that the arena itself is relatively small. Whenever Crane is heavily injured during the encounter, jump back into the water to heal yourself (what makes it even more effective is the fact that both David and Goliath lack any ranged attack).

Use a handy melee weapon, or a shotgun to defeat David.

Start of by eliminating David, which is a (significantly) stronger version of the regular running infected. In order to weaken the enemy, you should use a handy, one-handed melee weapon, capable of delivering quick attacks (such as a machete), or a shotgun, which is extremely effective at close range (especially if you've increased the damage of your firearms with the Legend abilities). Try to throw the enemy off balance to give yourself a short amount of time to deliver some extra attacks. Remain in motion all the time and watch out for Goliath, who will surely try to join the fight.

Goliath is easy to kill because of his slow movement speed.

You should start attacking Goliath only after David is already dead. This foe greatly resembles a typical Thug, but he doesn't use any melee weapon, making him a lot easier to deal with. This is why you can choose whatever equipment you want to during this encounter - you can use ranged weapons (assault rifle, shotgun, crossbow, throwing items), as well as melee ones. In the case of the latter strategy, you must quickly approach the boss, perform one or two attacks and then immediately jump back, before your foe is able to launch a counterattack. Using this method should be enough to quickly get rid of the boss, allowing Crane to avoid any damage.

You must deplete the health bars of your enemies in order to defeat both monsters. As a reward for your hard work, you will be given an unique blueprint - Depleter.
