The first task of this quest requires you to reach the Dam, located at the western edge of the map. You SHOULD use the buggy in order to get there - the vehicle should be parked right next to the lighthouse. Head west and ignore the bandits along the way, as you don't have to fight them. The suggested route to the destination can be seen on the above screenshot. You can either use the provided map, or take a different path, although you mustn't make any errors. Avoid going through the wilderness, as you can easily get stuck, or even fall into the water.
If you've chosen the recommended path, you should reach soon reach the upper parts of the dam. Continue your ride until the further path is blocked by car wrecks. Leave the buggy and approach the place shown on the above screenshot. You have to get close to the ledge and climb down via the scaffolding.
Note - If you've reached the destination from the lower side of the dam (with the active transformers), things will get a lot more complicated. If that's the case, you have to go through a longer route, requiring you to use multitude of interactive ledges to reach the destination point.
The entrance to the dam can be seen on the above screenshot - it's a small balcony located in the upper part of the construction. Enter it and begin a linear march, during which Crane will be contacted by the Mother.
You should soon reach the location of the Mother. After witnessing her and listening to her reasoning, you will be forced to choose the ending of the game. You can select:
- Sacrifice - the left dialogue option, described in the "Ending 1" chapter.
- Fight the Mother - the right dialogue option, described in the "Ending 2" chapter.
